Claudia is a fifth-year Ph.D. student at Columbia University. She is visiting the Economics Department at Princeton University for the academic year 2018-2019.
She works in the intersection between Industrial Organization and other fields, like Education and Healthcare. Her research is focused on how markets work in industries that provide services related to investments in human capital. She uses structural microeconomic models of demand and supply to understand how families and firms behave, combining administrative data from governments, private companies, self-collected data using surveys, and experimental interventions. She has projects in Chile, Peru, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic.
