Accessibility

Equitable access to information is our mission — including on this website.

Last updated: August 29, 2026

Our commitment

We aim for this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we have implemented

  • Semantic landmarks and a skip-to-content link on every page
  • Text colors checked against WCAG AA contrast minimums
  • Descriptive alternative text on informative images
  • Full keyboard operability, including the mobile navigation
  • Animations and autoplaying media honor the reduced-motion preference
  • Language attributes that identify English and Spanish content correctly

Known limitations

  • Some linked research reports are PDFs produced elsewhere and may not be fully accessible
  • Some content — including project detail pages and blog posts — is currently available in English only
  • The working-papers archive is a separate, older site that predates this accessibility work
